A 26-YEAR-OLD man was killed on his family farm yesterday after being trapped under an ATV.

The man went out at 8am and was due to meet up at a designated place on the Adelong farm, and when he did not arrive, family members went looking for him.

NSW Police crime manager detective Insp Paul Huxtable said when family members found him, they found the ATV flipped over and the man trapped beneath.

Paramedics were called but Insp Huxtable said the man was already deceased and believed the accident may have happened shortly after 8am.

The incident happened on Yaven Creek Rd, Adelong.

Insp Huxtable said the country where the death occurred was "very hilly".
