A MAN has died following a head-on collision between two cars north of Canberra.
Police said two cars collided on the Barton Highway, near Murrumbateman, about 3.30pm AEDT yesterday.
They said a 58-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man, both from Holt in the ACT, were cut free from the wreckage of one of the cars and taken to hospital.
The woman remained in a serious but stable condition, but the man died during surgery.
The driver of the other car, a 27-year-old man, was taken to Canberra Hospital with leg injuries.
