SOMETIMES it's easy to forget you are in government and not in Opposition.
Nationals MP Paul Weller (pictured) met locals about the management - or lack of it - in the Barmah Forest on Monday.
Residents are most concerned about the fire risk and keeping tracks open, to which Mr Weller responded he would see about lobbying the Government, who he hoped might do a better job finding some more resources for managing the park.
Err - would this be his Government which recently cut up to 20 per cent of DSE's staff and its budget in the name of good management?
