THE Aussie market is set to open lower with the SPI futures index down 10 points.
The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index yesterday gained 33.2 points, or 0.66 per cent, to 5,036.9 points, and the broader All Ordinaries index rose 32.7 points, or 0.65 per cent, to 5,057.2 points.
The spot price of gold is $US1,634.27, down from Thursday's close of $US1,646.40.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 9.03 points in afternoon trading in New York, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index is up 1.56 points at 1,521.89.
The NASDAQ Composite index is up 1.06 points.
