AFTER telling everyone to take a cold shower, Kevin Rudd is now advising an ice cold bath amid renewed leadership speculation.
The former prime minister has yet again denied he will make another run for the ALP leadership despite pushing himself into the public spotlight repeatedly over the last week, AdelaideNow reports.
Speculation that Mr Rudd would take another tilt at the party's top job has increased this week after he publicly criticised the mining tax and indigenous policy and released a YouTube video of him singing a pop song with a young woman.
Mr Rudd rubbished suggestions from former opposition leader Malcolm Turnbull, aired on ABC TV that he would be reinstalled as leader of the ALP before the federal election.
"Give us a break," Mr Rudd told the Seven Network while appearing with shadow treasurer Joe Hockey.
"I said a week or so ago everyone should take a long cold shower. What I'd say to Malcolm ... is it's time to jump in the ice bath."
Mr Rudd was pressed to give a definitive answer on his leadership ambitions, to which he responded: "It's not happening. Not happening."
