FANS of the Australia Post Stawell Gift must be getting pretty excited about the prospect of Asafa Powell competing in the big event at Easter.
It certainly is a giant feather in the organisers' cap to secure the Jamaican runner who, if it wasn't for a certain countryman called Usain Bolt, would be the fastest man on the planet, having previously run the 100m in a handy 9.72 seconds.
Still, given the event is a handicap and Asafa will be a back marker, anything can happen.
But the big question is, what will he think of having to don the Stawell Gift racing bib? Cos let's face it, it's pretty daggy.
No doubt the female spectators will be more than happy to see those abs and pecs just as they are.
