MARCH calving Holsteins joined to sexed semen attracted the most attention at Shepparton today.
The best of this 30 lot offering sold to $2100 for a cridigmann heifer joined to boulder sexed semen.Half way through the 170 lot dispersal on behalf of John and Cindy Mc Kenzie of Katunga, autumn calving cows were mostly selling from $1400-$1700.
Lots joined to an easy calving Angus sire topped at $1800 for a young Holstein sired by cridigmann.
Locals dominated the buying with many looking to boost herd numbers.
Milkers without a confirmed pregnancy, but had been running with the Angus bull, were harder to move.
These sold from $800- $1500, with the better prices for younger animals with higher production.
