THE Victorian Government's going it alone on the Gonski school funding reforms.

It says the Federal Government's one-size-fits-all approach may not deliver better outcomes for students.

The state government plan, to be phased in from next year, would deliver more than $400 million in additional funding to Victorian schools every year.

Premier Ted Baillieu said the Federal Government still hadn't revealed the details of its plans to implement the Gonski reforms.

He says Victoria's plan was affordable, sustainable and implemented Gonski's key recommendations, including better focus on disadvantaged and disabled students.
