THE Young Agribusiness Professionals (YAPs) conference is locked in for April.
The event has been named "Yoghurt Grows on Trees" after a study last year found many schoolchildren had no idea where their food came from.
Talks aim to dispel myths surrounding a career in agriculture and highlight opportunities for the future, targeted at established agribusiness professionals and those looking to start out.
YAPs committee member Brett Coates - a grain and wool farmer from St Arnaud - said the event would discuss the top issues facing young farmers.
"It will be a great place to meet new people, learn something new, network with like minds and of course let your hair down at the Gala Dinner on Friday night,'' he said.
At the Mantra Hotel, Lorne, April 12, $60 for members and $75 for non-members.
